Since tomorrow is the last day of holidays for me (unfortunately), I thought I'd share with you some bits and pieces from the past few weeks...
The beach I spent a week at. It was beautiful.
A bunch of paper boats my friend and I made. We went to her dam, hoping to see them float, only to find there was no water!
This is at my aunt's place. She has an amazing garden, and despite the fact that this little feature was small, it was one of my favourite parts. You're meant to put candles in it but I think it looks like a birdcage.
And finally here is the little place where we brought cherries from when we were travelling to the coast. It's handmade signs and cute little verandah put a smile on my face. The man who sold us the cherries had an Italian accent and told us his cherries were 'good enough for the kings'.
All in all,
a pretty good holiday :).

Very atmospheric, must have been a dry summer there, unlike like here in New Zealand, it has rained most days except maybe a week spread out throughout the whole summer where we have had decent summer weather, its been a little sad
ReplyDeleteHaha I took some photos of some paper boats the other day! They're film photos though, and I floated them in a bucket. I think that candle holder thing looks like a bird cage too.

Oh this makes me yearn for summer. Looks like a lovely holiday!
ReplyDeleteleft you a little something on my blog!!
ReplyDeleteLove the paper boats on the dried dam bed. Where was your holiday?
ReplyDeleteAs for your previous post on what to put in frames, sometimes wrapping paper is good if the pattern is interesting - either a little torn piece or fill the whole frame. And the other thing is childrens books; but you need a thicker frame for that!
It looks like you had a wonderful holiday! I'm longing for the beach + homemade jam! xo
ReplyDeleteHy, thanks for visiting my blog, I love that garden piece :D

I come from the Caribbean located in the northern hemisphere. The southern hemisphere is a mystery to me. I would love to travel to Australia one day and explore summer in December.
